My title sounds like a mid-90’s chick-comedy, but my best friend really did tie the knot to a stand up guy on October 18 and I was thrilled to be a maid of honor and a part of her special day. It was great being back home, even if only for 48 hours. And of course I took photos behind the scenes, because that’s how I roll.
Willow Salon on James Island did an amazing job with the bridal party’s hair. It was nice getting a chance to catch up with the other bridesmaids since I had only met maybe one of them prior to the rehearsal dinner the night before.
The beading and detail on wedding dresses always catches my eye. I love all the little details in the wedding preparations. Sometimes we think no one notices the little things we take the time to make just right at an event, but I’m one of those people who notices (and appreciates it).
I missed one bridesmaid (sorry Rachel) getting photos with the bride, but everyone looked lovely. And Jaxie was positively glowing.
Even on her wedding day, Jaxie was still in teacher mode. Holding flower girls and ring bearers and keeping them calm and happy for the ceremony.
